Nice stay, but some issues Stayed here overnight in July. People were nice. We checked in and ordered food from the restaurant which was very good. Our room was lovely but not stocked. We had to ask for all the basics to be brought to our room, towels, tp, coffee, etc. Room was very nice and very comfortable. When we checked out they said they would email Usreceipt but did not. I contacted them about the receipt and when they sent it I discovered they had overcharged us. This is unusual as we were given a breakdown of the charges and deposit beforehand and had never had this problem at other places. I contacted the hotel, sent them my paperwork asking about the extra charges and asked them to remove them from my credit card. No response from the hotel customer service. I wonder how many people they do this to?

Not that great for a marriott This hotel has seen better days. Paint is chipped in areas, the shower fixture is not attached properly and there’s a notch in the bathroom door to fit around the toilet. Our room key stopped working multiple times and the door to the pool wouldn’t open with the key card. The front desk staff seems over-worked- they don’t answer the phone promptly and don’t follow through with requests. I tried to call down to ask for extra tp, coffee, cups, etc since there isn’t daily maid service. I couldn’t get through so I went downstairs to make the request in person. After several hours, I found a maid and just asked her for the items I needed.

Don't Be Decieved I accompanied my boyfriend to Visalia for a legal matter. I helped book 2 rooms for him and his cousin at the Visalia Marriott, based on the appealing photos on their website. Don't be deceived by the photos. This place is a dump and it was stressful to be there. Let me see if I can tally up its deficiencies. 1. Ladies room in the lobby had toilets full of toilet paper even though the cleaning woman had just exited. Auto sinks also did not work. When I told the man at the front desk that the sinks didn't work, he just shrugged! 2. We'd asked for a room with a view when we made the reservations 6-8 weeks earlier. They gave us a room on the 2nd floor with a view of the carport roof! When we asked for another room, we got the same view, minus the trees in the far off distance. 3. In the room, there was a hole in the wall where the entrance door swings all the way back, hitting the wall. 4. In the room's bathroom, the door is positioned so that it's hard to manuever yourself from the sink to the bathtub without having to sort of MacGyver around the door. 5. Toilet paper, again. Cheapest TP I've ever encountered - so cheap that it was hard to get off the roll. 6. The pool, which looked so inviting on the website, is smaller than most residential pools. The pool cabanas aren't really cabanas. We just skipped the pool altogether. 7. His cousin's room's A/C didn't work at all. 8. In the morning, we smelled smoke coming from the hallway. Then we heard fire engines. Nobody could tell us where the fire was coming from or what the problem was. I spoke with the fire inspector and he didn't know. 9. Even the ironing board was awry, not standing straight and bending to the right. 10. The bed was okay (not great) but I did sleep well, so there's that. There's more but this is enough. I did not feel comfortable, safe, or cared for here. Oh yeah, one more thing - no bellman/person on duty. Haul your own bags!

Disappointing Hotel is tired and dumpy. Our room was never made up. Fake wood floors are cheap and the walls are thin so you can hear everything in neighboring rooms. Would have given it 2 stars but there’s really nothing better in Visalia unfortunately. Disappointing.

Do not disturb signs are a thing from the past… We had requested some extra amenities when we booked our room. To there failure they forgot to put items in our room. So, they rudely called our room at 7:30am (a housekeeper stool outside our room with a DO NOT DISTURB sign clearly on the door) guessing that makes no difference. Ans the times they brought weren’t even on our of request. I am a platinum member and I wrote to the hotel with NO response. Would never stay here again! Free breakfast was a cold Starbucks burrito too.
