Stunning, almost seemed unreal It’s hard to believe that anyone could write a bad review for the Grand Wailea Resort. Just spent 4 nights and 5 days there with my fiance for a partial business outing. Going into the trip I was cautious, seeing the posts about possible strikes and lack of employees and cleanliness. Everything I experienced was the polar opposite. Staff were all friendly. We were greeted with an “Aloha” by every single employee we encountered. The only issue I really saw was that some from our group were frustrated over the wrist bands. It was never explained that they needed to remain on as you use the pool daily. However, even when the staff approached some of our group about not having them on, the staff remained calm and got it all sorted. Even when those in our group were more than rude to the employee. Our room was cleaned and organized every morning. Housekeeping even left our leis, from our arrival, in a heart shape on the dresser. Grounds keepers could be seen bright and early keeping all of the vegetation trimmed and neat. We watched from our balcony (room 9015 is a far walk from everything, but the view is perfection) as one of the workers was in the stream, knee deep, clearing weeds. Waiters poolside were very attentive. All the grounds were kept neat and clean. Poolside chairs WITH shade were hard to obtain if you aren’t there early. But there is plenty of seating as a whole. Although, some of the umbrellas providing shade could really use attention, or all out replacement honestly. Food was amazing from the breakfast buffet to the food served at the Luau. Even the other couples we met that weren’t with our group had soooo many amazing things to say. The entire experience was one to remember always. Hopefully we make it to the outing next year, as it’s held at the same resort! Great job Grand Wailea, management should be very happy. Hopefully they issue the raises all of my union brothers and sisters deserve!!

Maui perfect stay We really love this hotel, my husband and my grownup son had 3 wonderful days, no need to go outside the resort. From the airport to the resort a and back the only time we took a car. Everything else you can walk, from high end brands shops or grocery store. The rooms and rooms amenities, just perfect with a view breathtaking: the sea, the volcan and the hotel chapel. Yoga at beach!!!! Cofe at the balcony and more. I really want to go back

Nice hotel but should not be a Waldorf Astoria Just finished a 5 night stay at the Grand Wailea. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Wailea beach was beautiful and you get direct access to beach. The pools were great it was almost like a water park for the kids. Now if this hotel was advertised as a Hilton it would have been great however as a Waldorf Astoria it really fell short. We have stayed at Waldorf Astoria properties all over the world and this was probably the least luxurious of them all both in terms of service and accommodation. We expected at least a lei greeting on arrival, we got nothing just a long line. Even the Westin in Kanapali gives a lei greeting. We got to the room which was fine but definitely not Waldorf Astoria caliber. There was some type of splatter all over the bathroom mirror. It really made us question the cleanliness of the room. I cloroxed wiped all the high touch areas myself something I didn’t expect to have to do here. We were used to the Aseop bath amenities usually at Waldorf but was disappointed with the generic branded soaps and shampoos. There was no turn down service, the linens were not high quality, and the room was not as clean as we would expect. Employees were nice but were not exceptional or polished. Again if this was a Hilton branded hotel it would have been great , however advertising as a Waldorf Astoria and charging Waldorf Astoria prices we were disappointed. Food was priced at Waldorf Astoria prices as well, 18$ for a kids hotdog. We would return bc the kids loved the pools and slides. But without kids we would try the Four Seasons next door.

Aloha spirit can be found closer. My stay at the Grand Wailea Maui was nothing short of a disappointment, largely due to the pool service, which was shockingly unprofessional. The staff was not only rude and inattentive but also seemed to take pride in enforcing their ridiculous wristband policy with an air of unwarranted authority. The whole experience felt more like being at a strict summer camp than at a luxury resort. They treated guests as if we were burdens, not paying customers. The constant policing over wristbands ruined any chance of relaxation. For a resort that charges a premium, I expected far better. This was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Simply the best!!! Wow is all I can say about this resort. The staff goest above and beyond, and are always anticipating your wants/needs. Our valet asked if we would like to take towels with us when we departed. Amazing because we forgot our beach towels. Whoever trains the staff is absolute hitting the bullseye. Every interaction with the staff was genuine, sincere, and not forced like other resorts. The property is absolutely stunning. Out of all of the properties I have had the pleasure of staying at this is the best. We were here celebrating my friend's birthday, and the staff remember and greeted us at Happy Hour saying Happy Birthday. WOW! Any items that we requested were delivered with extreme urgency unlike some of the other Hiltons I have stayed at. (Sometimes never receive or wait hours.) I cannot wait to come back to this amazing resort. Thank you to all of the amazing staff who truly take pride in what they do. This is the true example of Aloha hospitality.
