Embassy Suites by Hilton Walnut Creek

Fine until we found drugs in our room We’ve stayed at this Embassy a few times because it’s in a convenient location. Never again, because we do not feel safe there any more! We stayed here 4th of July weekend for a family wedding. We had 3 rooms in our reservation, all next to each other (two of the rooms were joined by a door). We had 7 kids under 9 between the 3 rooms. When we came back from the wedding, there was stuff pushed under the doors—scraps of paper with unhinged phrases scribbled on them, BUT under one of the doors, there was a baggie filled with crystals, a phone, and a scribbled over ID. After a long wrangling with the front desk and security, it came out that there was a homeless person camped out in the hallway for several hours while we were gone, leaning up against our doors—on the 8th floor. Sure enough, the police confirmed that the baggie was crystal meth. We’re just so grateful that we noticed the drugs right away, and that none of the kids found them! The night staff agreed that this was a major safety breach (duh!) that affected our entire reservation because we were all family staying together and going in and out of each others rooms. They agreed to comp all 3 rooms. However, when we checked out the next morning, that agreement was not honored, and now (many hours on the phone with corporate later) only one of the rooms was comped. Can’t believe that a)the security at the hotel is so ineffective, and b) that they’re refusing to make the situation at least somewhat right. Stay here at your risk!

Above And Beyond This place was wonderful, starting with the front desk. The SUPER nice lady named "Reem" , she is very professional and really nice. Reem helped us with all our needs and went above and beyond. All the staff here was amazing _. The valet guys were awesome and handled my ol'school truck like it was a Durango Hellcat ___. Thank you guys! We would like to thank "Reem" and staff for treating my wife and I like royalty _ _ . It was my wife's birthday and Reem took care of us and made us feel special, thank you. The swimming _ pool _‍♀️ was spectacular and the bar was the bomb _ . Oh yeah before I forget, BIG ups on the dining room staff, that was the best omelette I ever had. Not bad for a complamentry breakfast _ _ _ , not bad at all. I would recommend this wonderful establishment to all my family and friends. Thank you hotel staff and Priceline , keep up the good work!

An excellent stay Returning to the area after ten years to visit family and planned to stay at this Hilton location. I was surprised by the negative reviews so while I needed three nights, I committed to one to check out the property. After check in and survey of my room, I booked the second two nights. Yes, it’s an older building and a bit outdated, but it’s clean, in a convenient location with a helpful and courteous staff throughout. Breakfast was very good and happy hour drinks are a nice perk. My room was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. While it is valet parking, you can save a lil $ by booking the park and stay rate. I recommend this Hilton property and will return for another stay next week.

Rooms were not clean , had wear and tear. Hotel lobby and valet was really great. Rooms were big however , the rooms had serious wear and tear, not clean (paint marks , hole in carpet, bathrooms had broken torn shower curtain). Dust everywhere especially behind bed, corners etc.). Hotel manager tried to accommodate complaints but had a strong personality.

EMBASSY SUITES SAVES THE DAY! We LEFT The Sonesta Pleasant Hill location bc it was TERRIBLE!!! However when we came here, it was well worth the transition. Amazing staff, that’s always sweet and kind, unlike the staff & management at the Sonesta PH. The Embassy Suites REALLY HAS AN INDOOR POOL, unlike Sonesta’s FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Embassy Suites breakfast… OMG! TOP TIER! Sonesta PAID breakfast isn’t worth purchasing, we went to the Hangout instead. AMAZING FOOD AT THE HANGOUT! Even the beds were more plush and the towels a lot softer. There were no lose towel racks, and the rooms had a microwave AND fridge. Sonesta only has a super small fridge with no freezer. All in all my stay at the Sonesta PH was a DISASTER but thank you EMBASSY SUITES for saving my trip and making the last few nights comfy, and enjoyable. You guys are amazing!
