Worst ever To: Choice Hotel Group Ascend Hotel Group Three Bears Lodge (Warrens, WI) Hotel groups, I am contacting you regarding a recent stay we had at the Three Bears Lodge in Warrens, WI. It was a family get together that we had planned and prepared for since January of this year. We rented two three-bedroom suites in the villas immediately across from the main lodge, the Mallard Two. The total cost of this rental was around $1920 for two nights. We should have realized this was not going to be the greatest of experiences when we went through the check-in process for the resort. The computer program or service created a long process to get checked in. When we opened our villas, there were several things immediately evident. The smoke alarm was chirping in one room from a low battery. The TVs were all unplugged and when plugged in they did not respond to remote controls. The flies were unbelievable. When unpacking and getting ready for our stay, multiple other problems were encountered. Although the website indicates dishes and utensils were supplied there were very few we initially found. Upon a little more inspection we found the dishwashers full of dishes and pots and pans that had baked on food and had not been washed. The vinyl floors were absolutely filthy, and anyone that walked on them with bare feet had completely blackened soles. The windows were dirty with cobwebs and didn’t appear to have been washed for a long, long time. The window coverings, slatted shades, were dysfunctional and missing slats. Some windows didn’t even have shades. The rustic chandeliers above the dining tables had caked on dust. The furniture in general was a hodge podge of items that had obviously been used for other purposes like TV cabinets. The upholstered furniture was full of dust which became apparent with the first fly swat. When looking at storage areas, the door to the HVAC area was opened and the air filter was layered were dirt and almost black. One of the villas had soiled bed coverings and black hair on the bed sheets. Although the reservations were made for 15 people, the number of towels available was sorely lacking for the length of the stay. The shower/tub drains in both villas were clogged. Although 3 Bears is billed as a waterpark resort, the hot tub was shut down and appeared green and stagnant. Towels were not available poolside at indoor or outdoor sites. The bathrooms at the pools did not have toilet paper available on Friday or Saturday. When one of our group asked about renting a property golf cart, they were told none was available although six carts were plugged in at front of the building. I hope this list of issues is taken seriously because this was not what I would expect from any hotel group or affiliate. I belong to the Wyndham, Ramada, Marriott, Best Western, Ramada, Red Lion Hotels and Drury reward groups and this the was worst experience I have had with any stay. For $1900+ I would expect at least an effort to provide decent accommodations and service.

TERRIBLE DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE Absolutely god-awful stay. My family and I stayed this weekend for a wedding. Extremely understaffed, when we went for breakfast there was one girl running the whole place, getting drinks, bussing, and hosting. We were not allowed a late checkout. The arcade was hot and half the machines were not working. Internet was one bar and did not work. Our room was broken and dirty. There was a used contact on the floor, a hair in the shower, one remote for two tvs and a light switch was broken off. No coffee machine in the room. There were two bunk beds, but both of the ladders on one of the beds was completely blocked and unaccessible. Our short stay was very disappointing and I will never come back.

Horrible, horror, Absolute a horror place. Save your money and time. We checked-in on May 25th for 2 nights and checked out on May 26th. Our main door (villa 602) was NOT secured all night. They had 2 maintenance crew working on the door knob for approximately 45 minutes and still can't lock the door properly. Eventually they got frustrated and left without properly fixing the door. This incident was reported to supposedly a manager on-site and she was by far the worst. We checked out a day early and will never come back. Absolutely trash.

Disappointing We stayed over the weekend of April 12th. We rented one of the cabins. Check in was super fast and the employees were friendly. Upon pulling up to our cabin it looked nice. Went to unlock and open the door and the doorknob was broken. My husband managed to fix that. Once inside the cabin it was very dirty. There were blueberries from the previous guests all over the floor. The table was sticky and had paint on it from what I'm assuming was a kids craft because it did wash off. The sink sprayer was broken, the pots/pans provided were absolutely disgusting. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The oven looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time with cheese hanging off the rack inside. The walls in the bathrooms were filthy and was missing the toilet paper holder off the wall. The shower head was broken in the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bedroom had confetti and wrappers all over the floor. The Waterpark was fine except the hot tub jets weren't working in the one and the second hot tub was drained and not working. Lots of money spent for an overall disappointing weekend. We will not be back and will not recommend it to any of our friends.
