Came up to us during social hour and refilled our glasses and spent time with us like we were old friend friends even t. Melvin Cooke, what can I say. He is what Kimpton is all about. I work for Kimpton and it is a joy to run into people/workers who love their job as much as I do. This is why Kimpton (IHG) is our hotel(‘) of choice when we travel . Look forward to returning to Kimpton Monaco next year.

Disappointing Hotel is in a wonderful location and all the sights of Washington are within walking distances. We had a large room, however it was very dusty. The staff were not the most helpful and felt that you were interrupting the reception staff if you asked them anything and some were not familiar with the local area. The evening social was between 5-6pm serving Costco wine or cold drinks. Water or iced tea was available during the day with pretzels, chocolates or dried apricots. Breakfast had a good choice at weekends it opened at 9am which is not great if your jet lagged and up early and served at 7am midweek. My order was incorrect so I let a server know, she just walked away and I had to wait for my actual server to come, found the servers unfriendly. The Kimpton Monaco could’ve been so much better.

Kierra Rocks!!! The Monaco is such an interesting and incredibly unique hotel. The design is so intricate and not your typical run of the mill hotel. The front desk staff Kierra was very personable and warm. She greeted us with a big smile and went over and beyond to ensure my parents and wife were comfortable. She made our stay all the more enjoyable and pleasant. Thank you Kierra! From the bubbly girls!!!

Real hospitality from staff This review is based on Matho and his excellent service during my whole stay. The hotel is unfortunately difficult to access if you have a disability, requiring a special entrance, but Matho made coming and going as easy as possible and was always there to help with bags and anything else I might need. A wonderful young guy who really eased my stay! True hospitality.

Bryan and Tavon made my night! From the valet to the front desk, everyone has been so kind and welcoming! They have a free happy hour in a cute little alcove by myself to snag a glass of wine, and was met by Bryan and Tavon who were the NICEST EVER!!!! What a great experience to start my stay _
