Great option for a tourist visiting DC My friend and I decided to spend a couple of days sightseeing in Washington DC. We booked this hotel as it was cheap and within easy reach via the metro to the city centre. The whole campus was green and very beautiful. The twin rooms had two double beds and were very clean and tidy. The front desk was always polite and helpful and couldn't have done more to make our stay delightful. A 5 minute walk through the campus to Union Market filled with amazing food outlets was a real bonus. 15 minute walk to Noma Gallaudet University stop on the red metro line, one stop from Union Station made our trip to the city simple. Cannot find anything to criticise it was perfect and cheaper than many hotels that we could find in the area. The history of this amazing University for the Deaf was shown on the walls using old photographs and the older buildings on campus are very beautiful. The Conference Hotel is purpose built and is light and airy with beautiful views over the sports fields . Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere close to the city but with an interesting history but with modern facilities.

Eh… Parking is EXPENSIVE, area is NOT safe after dark. Room is nothing special. There is a shuttle to Union Station that is free. Despite what other reviews tell you, the Trader Joe’s is not close. It’s a walk, not next door, it’s a good walk through a bad area after dark. So you have to PLAN for dinner ahead of time. If you drive to say, Subway, then you have to plan for that too because there’s no place to park. It’s just not a convenient location. That said, my daughter needed a band aide and they had some at the front desk and she was really nice about it. Breakfast is an extra $25 pp. we did not elect to do that. If you go to Union Station to go to DC, I recommend grabbing food there on your way out, as there are only sketchy food trucks and museum food once you leave. I’d also recommend eating at Union Station on the way back so once you shuttle to the hotel, no need to go back out at night for food. I wish we thought of that sooner.

Best place to stay, they make you feel at home. Because of work I stayed a month at the hotel. It was great!! from day one, The Manager Andre and his staff Marian, Macy, Jasmin and two other gentlement in front desk. Made me feel at home for that month away from my family in Miami. The staff always has a smile and the are willing to help you in your needs. The lady that works at the breakfast always makes you feel at home. if you come to Washington DC. This is the place to stay!! Edgar Leal

Basic, clean, safe, great location We found this quiet gem when looking for a safe hotel near Union Market. It’s located on the campus, so very quiet, park-like surroundings, short walk to the market and entertainment just outside the campus gates. Rooms were very basic but clean, with comfortable beds and great AC in July! We had a mini-fridge which was nice. Our room was 5th floor and had a lovely view. Breakfast has made-to-order omelettes with fresh, delicious ingredients. In the afternoons, the patio sets up a little wine bar vibe outdoors, which was also nice. The only downsides were trying to figure out the gates (which gates were open when) and Uber very often had problems finding the entrance and the actual hotel. To get around this, we would walk to union market (less than 1/4 mile) and have Uber pick up there. It’s also not the safest neighborhood once you leave campus, so don’t plan to walk very far. If you are hoping to walk to any sights, this is not the hotel or area for you. But if you want a less expensive hotel option and either have a car or plan to Uber, it’s a great choice!

EXCELLENT!!!! The PERFECT place to rest My experience was excellent A+ since I entered. The front desk service was perfect, the lobby area and bathrooms was clean and good smell. You can appreciate the surroundings and the architecture of the buildings and the state of conservation. My super spacious King bed room with a kitchenette and everything clean. Good breakfast. Good location near the places of interest to visit. If you like a quiet place to rest, this is the perfect place. It will be my favorite in the state.
