Great experience! We very much enjoyed our stay at the DC Sofitel. The front desk was prompt, courteous, and extremely kind and even upgraded our room which was a welcome surprise after a challenging day of travel. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was excellent. We loved the location, which was central to many of the sights and places we wanted to visit. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone we know traveling to our nation's capitol!

Sense of coming home Unfortunately, I was only here for 1 night as I was passing through. The difference between this hotel and the other hotels I have slept in the US is huge. Perhaps I am spoilt as a European but this hotel made me feel like coming home. The staff are very nice and service-oriented and the hotel is a delight to the eye. Sofitel is famous for its good beds and this hotel once again lives up to that. For me, there is no hotel bed better than the one in a Sofitel. The room was spacious and furnished with quality furniture. The fact that there was some damage here and there did not bother me as much. The room upgrade I received based on my ALL status was a very nice surprise and the small gift I the room was very much appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast at the Opaline Bar and Brasserie are great. The bread in particular is of remarkably high quality and taste. Both the brasserie and the breakfast room are a bit noisy / it reverberates. But that is also part of the French feel. I will definitely book this hotel again next time I am in Waschington DC. Hopefully for more than 1 night.

Could do better. Although checking in was easy and the room comfortable and clean there were areas that need improvement. The corridor on my floor needed a good vacuum with egg shells dropped and still there on my departure. I chose to have breakfast there once and the meal was awful. The oats were tasteless the tea was bad and there was no care or kindness with the service. For a five star hotel these small things really needed to be improved. Staff should be delighted to serve. Quality of food should be 5 star.

Nice Metropolitan Hotel Stayed at this hotel in July 2024. Arrived as the NATO confirmed was concluding. Great location, welcoming staff and nice amenities. Exceeded our expectations.

Sofitel during 2024 Heat Wave We had a great stay during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. The staff is solid, everyone from reservations staff to maintenance and security personnel and especially Millions & team and their bespoke parking service. Don’t ever change!
