Lifetime Experience Wonderful experience staying here. Views were amazing and staff was so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend taking the guided tour as well. Even had a scavenger hunt for the kids and outdoor activities like Croquet and Shuffleboard.

Top notch, would go back in a heartbeat! We stayed at Ocean House the week after Memorial Day to celebrate our wedding anniversary and "babymoon". Although the weather did not cooperate, we were still thrilled with the elegance of the property, the service, and the food. Make no mistake, it is a pricey vacation, but it was worth it. We felt utterly relaxed by the end of our trip.
We dined at Coast twice, the more casual restaurant options a few times, and ordered room service breakfast every day. We each had 2 spa treatments and they were both fantastic. We enjoyed the short walk down to the quaint town/shops. We did have ONE beach day, and we were also happy with the beach bar, food, and beautiful beach/view/setup. They also had a fun cocktail-making bike down at the beach (which I couldn't fully enjoy being pregnant, but my husband had fun!) The room was also elegant and clean, and the housekeeping staff left us little gifts at the end of each day.
If I HAD to nit-pick here are the things I would critique: (1) we did a cooking class and the regular chef was on maternity leave. the new chef was very enthusiastic and we had a healthy meal, but none of it was hands-on (we didn't chop, peel or do anything). Also we left the experience hungry which seemed a bit odd considering the price. We were allowed to have some of the wine that was already open...I also feel that beverages of our choice should have been included given the price. (2) small pool - nothing they can really do about this, but I was underwhelmed with the size of the pool. If you had 2 families in there it seemed crowded. (3) No heat lamps on the deck - considering the weather, really should have invested in some of these.
Bottom line is I would absolutely recommend Ocean House and I can't wait to return someday!

High expectations. Everyone of them fell short We were so excited for our first multi generational family vacation post Covid. We had 5 rooms booked between 14 of us from newborns to seniors. The trip fell so short. The service was sup bar on every level. I’ve stayed at several “luxury” properties but this is not one. The grounds are lovely but the service is not. A list of issues (some minor some not):
-We had a large group to check in albeit complicated with several rooms. We are never offered water or a welcome drink. Mind you everyone else was offered that. (From arrival they didn’t like our group).
-They lost our dinner reservation on site and we had to go 15 mins off property. Which was highly inconvenient with small children.
-We booked suites so the children would have sofa beds to sleep on. These sofabeds were worst than a 20 year old’s bachelor pad. It was literally vertical and horrible quality. My kids fell off sleeping on it the first night. I complained 4 times starting at 9am. Finally after complaining yet again it was looked at 6:45pm with the only “solution” provided was an air mattress for the kids to sleep on. I mean seriously! After spending a ridiculous amount of $ can you believe we had an air mattress in two rooms? Never in my life did I expect that. No concession given which is the worst part. They “comped” a cabana which honestly they shouldn’t even be charging us for. It’s literally nothing special. And they only did that because my travel agent called them directly.
-The food is horrible and what makes it worst is the service. I had to wait over 1 hour for a simple egg white omelette which they still messed up. Messed up on lunch again. It’s as if the servers and staff is taught not to smile and be courteous.
-Hardly any amenities were available. The “pool” is laughable, not something you expect at a 5 star hotel. The beach chairs and cabanas are the quality of a motel not a Relais & Chateaux property.
-Everything is extra. Every time a server said would you like some “complimentary” water? I wanted to scream. I mean yes the damn water should be complimentary.
-Not accommodating at all. Everything was too difficult for them to manage.
-Bell hop took 1hour to bring the luggage and the parking situation is ridiculous.
-Never picked up the from when calling from
The room despite 3 people behind the desk.
Overall I would never go back to this hotel or stay at a R&C property again. It’s so unfortunate because they do have great hotels but clearly don’t know how to run them. I never write reviews but this time it was needed.

Beautiful Hotel My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Oceanhouse. A beautiful hotel with great staff. We had an ocean view room with a balcony, very nice.We had a lunch on the porch, two dinners in the Bistro, very good meals with great servers. We had one meal at Weekapog Inn, a sister property, which also was very good.. We enjoyed the beach and also took a croquet lesson which was alot of fun. Rates as one the best travel experiences we have had. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay enjoyable.

1 Star Experience at a “5” Star Hotel I came to Watch Hill specifically for the Independence Day Beach Ball. It was cancelled due to weather which was totally understandable as it supposed to pour the night of. However, the next day I saw an indoor Independence Day beach Ball on Instagram!!! I was lied to about the event being cancelled. I’m so disappointed in this entire experience. I do not recommend this hotel at all. I’m still at a loss for words.
