Dated We selected this hotel due to its proximity to SixFlags Great America and the Marriott brand. The room rates were also reasonable. On arrival, the staff was welcoming and helpful. The lobby and checkin area were nice. Unfortunately this was the only really nice area in the hotel. The rooms are dark and dated and in major need of updating. Carpet was dirty and furniture worn. Rooms felt like 1990s. Indoor pool small. Fitness center pretty good for courtyard. We spent minimal time at hotel or would have switched properties as rooms were not up to par. Also no daily housekeeping due to COVID.

Great stay Great place to stay. Everyone greets you the minute you walk in. My bonvoy level was acknowledged and was given an upgrade. This property seems to have many military people staying here. Great to see our military being taken car of. Loving that!

Great staff Checked in after a long day. One of the nicest desk agents I have ever met. Went out of her way to get me some food and drink and even started to call a local restaurant to see if they were still open, just so I would be taken care of. It is nice to know there is good hospitality in the world and you will find it here.

Grandson’s PIR I was not a guest here but my grandson’s other grandmother was and because of the amazing lobby we chose to meet and visit with our grandson here. There were 8 of us which included 2 children. Front desk staff was amazing to us and especially our grandson congratulating him on his graduation from Navy Bootcamp. I stayed at a different location which was very nice but wished I had stayed here.

Great Lakes Boot Camp Graduation We chose this location for our trip to see our son graduate from Navy boot camp. Location: Excellent location. We used the shuttle service as recommended by Jamie at the front desk. We are very glad we did, because it was extremely convenient. We weren’t held up in the long line of vehicles waiting to get on base. It is a military base, and security is very thorough so the wait to get on base is very long. *just wanted to advise that I’m sure this is frustrating to some, especially after anxiously awaiting this proud moment....but the processes are in place for a reason. Please be patient with the security force. Price is very reasonable and the service is excellent. The staff here really made us feel welcomed and were very accommodating. The lounge area was a nice spot to relax. Overall great choice for those of you traveling for boot camp graduation.
