Iris Inn.... a MUST stay! Julee (the chief and general manager) and Cynthia (Inn Keeper) were above and beyond great! We felt the whole experience was personal, we were not just a number. The staff ensures the people staying have a great experience from the greetings once you walk in the door to the "Good morning" notes that were delivered with our breakfast. We stayed in the Woodland Room and we loved the room's lay out and the privacy we had! Cynthia was knowledgeable on hiking trails, restaurants, and local attractions to visit. We will defiantly be back. Next time we are going to try to book a cabin to have a different experience.

Great stay at iris inn Loved the Iris inn. The cabins are wonderful and the staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is a great experience. A true five star experience. Cabins are modern and comfortable. Impeccably clean when we arrived. The breakfast is delivered to your door in a picnic basket. Fire pits ready to Light on site and great sunset views. Highly recommend.

Gem of the Shenandoah Valley! This was our 5th visit, and our first trip to the Inn since the complete renovation of the property by the new owner. Not a detail was overlooked. The Iris Inn was still amazing after all these years, from the friendly staff, to the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in, the modern bathrooms, the room amenities and the outstanding food prepared by their chef. This is the place to go for peace and quiet, and to totally unwind. The Wildflower Room is our favorite, which faces west and offers a spectacular view of the mountains and the sunset each evening while sipping your favorite wine. The Iris Inn will not disappoint; it's worth every dollar!

Had a Great Stay My wife and I stayed at the inn to celebrate a special occasion and it was very nice. We stayed in a cottage and got the breakfast add on. The breakfast was very tasty!! Loved the parfait and the bacon and the breakfast bread that came with each meal. We did order shrimp salad for dinner which was good; however, didn't seem worth $30 and was missing an ingredient listed. The staff was indifferent when I nonchalantly mentioned this... puzzling given the level of service expected at this price point. We got our dinner elsewhere the second night. The bed was very very comfortable and would come just for back for that. The front desk was courteous pre check-in and during our stay. Another highlight was the firepit which we used on both nights and were set up for a perfect fire. The sunsets were lovely and another reason to return. We would likely return some day and try staying in a cabin. We would recommend to friends.

Gateway to Shenandoah We spent several days at Iris Inn. It is conveniently located to RT 64 and Skyline Drive yet very private and quiet. Even though the weather was rainy and foggy, we could still take advantage of the outstanding views from the deck. The Inn is exceptionally clean and spacious. Our bed had the best mattress we've encountered at a hotel or inn. They just started serving dinner in the past month and the food was excellent; breakfast was creative and can be delivered to your room. We had an issue upon checking in which was resolved. It is clear that management and the staff are very client-satisfaction oriented and they couldn't have been more responsive. Special thanks to Cynthia and Wendy who went above and beyond to accommodate. Next time, we will stay in a cabin which are just as beautiful and spacious as the photos depict them to be...
