Will not return! I don’t even know where to start, other than we arrived and our two queen bedroom that we booked and got confirmation on was not available so they put my husband and I in a one queen bed, which we have not slept in in 47 years. We actually went for our 47th wedding anniversary. The TV was to the left wall so you get a crick in your neck trying to turn and look at it. My husband had to step over the toilet just to be able to sit down. I am only 5’2 and my knees were next to the wall, there is no place to sit your toiletries, other than on top of the toilet, or the floor. And just like another reviewer said, if you have a balcony and want to sit out on it and enjoy the evening be careful, you’re going to listen to a lot of foul language from golfers coming in and being loud that have had quite a few to drink. My husband and his friends used to go on golf outings here but they will not return. The cost of a round of golf has gone to $150. They don’t even pay that when they go to some of the most beautiful courses at Myrtle Beach. My husband and I will not return again.

Excellent in Every Way We stayed in a golf view king/balcony with a beautiful view of the front nine and the mountains. My husband called the golf course a gem and the staff first class, while I enjoyed the lovely pool. We had many wonderful meals at The Grill, always with excellent service. Thank you, Brian and staff, for a perfect stay!

Not worth the additional cost We were in Waynesville with a group for a meeting, and the group chose this hotel for our stay. Even with the group rate, it was overpriced. We were in the "golfview" buildings and the rooms are nice enough, but not "resort" quality, and are clearly updated older rooms. The bathroom vanity countertop hit me just above my knees (no lying) and the bathroom was cramped. Bed was comfortable enough, room was spacious, plenty of hot water. Had I paid Holiday Inn Express-type price for this, it would have been fine, but it is not a $200-plus room. We had dinner at the Grill, which was even more over-priced. Husband had a wedge salad, I had a house salad with grilled chicken, and we both drank water. $43 and the salads were small (though tasted good). Service was good. We chose to go elsewhere for breakfast considering the cost of dinner. The only reason I can think to stay here is if you are a golfer and "need" to sleep next to the golf course; otherwise, it's overpriced.

Charming Hotel This hotel is the best kept secret! I have been traveling to Waynesville for years for work and had no idea this place existed. It is quaint, charming and beautiful. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was fabulous with a perfect view. Special shout out to Dale and Debbie at the front desk and Brian in the restaurant. First class service.

Not historic….early apple box! Original room was not available due to a natural gas leak. We were given a room in the “historical section”. I would call it “old and dingy” or close to a dump. I have seen better furnishings next to the road! The bed creaked with every move. No counter space in the bathroom. The room went from cold to hot. The only reframing feature was immediate hot water in the shower and lavatory. The second worst hotel in 30 years!
