Needs new pillows The pillows could use some work, but the Indian lady at the desk was very kind. The hot tub is broken and made me sad. My room wouldn’t get cold because I believe the AC was broken?? Also my light switch was a little janky but still a place i recommend.

Avoid this place. Better avoid this place. The manager and management are rude. I see a lot of people have commented about the issues, we missed reading them before booking and our experience was no different. Poor Service

Never again!!! Comfort Inn Webster, TX I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Webester, Texas from December 22–26, 2023. After this stay, I will not be staying at any Comfort Suites or other Choice Hotel in the future. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We waited for a while and no one showed up. We went to look for the restrooms since we had been driving for quite a while. I found the Men’s restroom. There was a sign on the door that it was out of order. I also walked by the hot tub. There was also a sign on that door that the hot tub was also out of order. We went back to the front desk and waiting for someone to check us in. Not a very good first impression. I told them that I had a reservation. They asked for a $150 cash as a deposit. I told them that the reservation did not mention anything about a deposit and that I did not have $150 cash. They said that in that case, they would take a credit card. I asked what the deposit was for. They said “incidentals”. Incidentals? I thought that was strange. There is no restaurant , bar or anywhere to charge any incidentals. I asked how long the hot tub had been broken. They said that it had been broken for about a week or so. They charged $150 to my credit card and handed us our room keys. The front desk was not very friendly at all. There was no friendly greeting or welcome. I should have gone elsewhere. I was really disappointed about the hot tub being out of order, the restroom being out of order and $150 deposit. When we got to our room, I tried to use the Wi-Fi. It was also out of order. I went down to front desk. They confirmed that yes, their Wi-Fi is down. I asked if they could reboot their router. They told me that they did not know how to do that. My wife had gone to get ice. The ice machines on the first and third floor were out of service. At this point, I asked for discount on my room rate. Since everything at the hotel was broken or out of service, I felt that I should receive a discounted rate. The front desk said that they could not do that. The next day, we went to use the pool. The door lock to the pool was broken. You have to get someone to open it for you. They then leave the deadbolt out to keep the door cracked open. I think that this is a safety issue. A small child could easily sneak into the pool and drown. Besides the hot tub being broken, the water in the pool was ice cold. We could not swim in the pool. I am not sure how well the water is being maintained. I noticed a lot of things rusted out in the pool area. The door lock to the pool and door is rusted. There were two maintenance doors that were rusted. One had a sharp rusted vent sticking out waiting to cut someone’s foot open. The handicap chair to enter the pool had caution tape around it and it was rusted out. I can’t believe all the things there are out of order at this hotel: - The men’s room when I came in - The hot tub - Door lock to the pool and pool door rusted - Jagged rusted metal sticking out of door in pool area - The pool restroom is out of order - Even after they got the Wi-Fi working, it kept going down and was unusable - Exercise machine out of service in the exercise room - The clock in the breakfast area and facing the front lobby have stopped - Hand sanitizer next to the elevator does not work - The number outside my room was missing and had a paper number - The chair in the front lobby had gross stains on the seat cushion - There are no towel racks in the shower area in the room There was a hot breakfast. However, it had the same few items every morning. When I went to check out, the bill was higher than the amount quoted on my reservation. To add insult to injury, there was even a fee for using a credit card. I questioned them about it. They said that they charged everyone for using a credit card. Other hotels in the area that I had stayed at do not charge for using a credit card. When I checked in, they said that they would deduct the $150 deposit from my bill. They did not. They made an additional charge for the whole amount. I asked about my deposit. They said that it could take 10 days for it to be refunded. My check-in and check-out experience did not go well. Not only were the people at the front desk not friendly, it seems like all the staff were not very friendly. No one ever welcomed me, said good morning or anything nice. It was like they were all mad about something. It was not a very pleasant place. It was a real disappointment.

Awful. Not recommended at all. I really don’t like to leave negative reviews however….. The smoke detector was hanging loose from the ceiling. The shelf in the bathtub had some unidentifiable black stains showing through the caulk. The air conditioner didn’t do much to cool the room. The elastic on the fitted sheet was useless and I spent the night fighting to keep it from coming loose. The elevator had a carpet scrap covering part of the floor. Sketchy area. Orange juice watered down. Breakfast was just plain yucky. Internet was totally useless. Only one luggage cart available when we checked in and it had a dirty rug thrown on it that I had to move. Upon check out the desk employee never even go up from their chair, never asked me how my stay was and never asked if I wanted a receipt.

Clean, convenient & comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was professional. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds very comfortable. The breakfasts were adequate. The location was perfect for visiting Galveston and NASA. Local shopping and restaurants nearby. We recommend.
