Creepy Arriving at night to this dimly lit property gives a creepy vibe. While the rooms are all “smoke free”, decades of cigarette smoke must be embedded in the outdated, worn carpeting, furniture, and fixtures. At night I found I had trouble breathing from the embedded smoke, so I opened the window and turned on the heat, (it is March), and the smell died down. The wall paper was wrinkled and torn. The sofa was very worn, as was the bathroom. Room cleaning was lackluster at best. This is a very old property that really needs to be completely redone as I don’t think at this point the smoke smell can be cleaned out of the hallways and rooms. I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next visit.

Low budget, low expectations I gave this place 3 stars because the staff was really great. They were very user friendly and accommodating. If the facility was in better shape it would have been 4 stars. It is an outdated, worn out Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge. Paint peeling, carpet stained, and a bit of raucous crowd. But with that being said, the outdated bathroom was spotless, the bed was comfortable, immaculate and well made. So if you are on a tight budget, and can look past some cosmetic deficiencies, it's not a bad place.

Smelly, loud and outdated We recently stayed here and from the start things went downhill. The place has a sketchy vibe about it. When arriving in the office, we happened upon a conversation with the front desk staff and a housekeeper about a smell they had successfully removed. The place is old and run down, it seriously needs a makeover. The rugs are worn, the halls and rooms smell, and there was mildew/mold growing across the bathroom ceiling. The police showed up when we did and slowly cruised to the back and spoke to a group of people sitting outside of their room. I was afraid to leave my car here. Another man cruised around the place with a cigar hanging out of his mouth, and took up golfing outside of our room. Later, he had a number of guests over and they proceeded to drink and smoke outside of our room. At this point I started to look up other accommodations nearby and would have happily paid money to stay somewhere else, however as it was graduation weekend for multiple colleges in the area, and rooms were booked everywhere I looked. The towels are thin and scratchy, the tv was small and outdated. The sheets and blankets seemed cleaned, but were washed or dried an an overly perfumed smelling soap or fabric softener that was unpleasant and overpowering. The rug in the room seemed very old and dirty- I refused to walk around the room without shoes on. I would not recommend this place and will not be staying here again.

Economy Lodging - AMAZING OWNER AND STAFF I was attending a class reunion in the area - when I arrived at the hotel I found out that their computer had crashed and they lost all of the reservations. The were completely booked, however the owner had been pro active and booked rooms at a deluxe hotel near by. Not only was I only charged the economy rate for her hotel but the owner personally met me at the other hotel to make sure I could check in with no issues. It made my weekend perfect.

5 week stay_ We stayed here for 5 weeks while we waited to close on our new home. We had an excellent stay. Carol the owner and all her employees were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and modern, at night it was quiet and uneventful. I would recommend staying here. Thanks for a great extended stay.
