Very clean! Overall the hotel was nice. The rooms are updated and very clean. Nice beds. Good pillows. The pool is nice but Kind of crowed. Not enough seats in the afternoon. There is a grill area and tables for eating outside.
The staff is friendly and accommodating.
My only grip is …what is with the flood light outside of the room?? It was so bright in our bedroom all night. No curtains to black it out, only blinds.
Overall it was a nice clean hotel that I would recommend to friends and family.

Great Location but Terrible Customer Service Phenomenal location and decent rooms, BUT the customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. We booked our room in November for our July stay and were billed $427 for the first night as well as all associated fees. Upon our arrival around 8PM, their system was down, so they were unable to run our (updated) credit card for the rest of our stay and said we could take care of it in the morning. While we were out on the boardwalk, they called my wife and left her a threatening VM that we had two hours to provide credit card information or we'd be kicked out (again, we already paid for the first night in November). Anyways, we missed the call and upon returning to our room with our two kids we couldn't get into our room because they turned off our keys, despite the fact we had already paid for the night and the reason we couldn't pay for the proceeding nights was their machine was broken. As a parent, one of the most embarrassing positions I've ever been in, sorry kids, we don't have a room right now. After some discussion with the front desk they updated our credit card on file, but the nightly rate jumped up to $514.50 with absolutely no explanation, even though when we booked it was $427. Just a miserable experience with terrible customer service.

Best deal on the island I just spent the past week with my daughter and two grandchildren. This is the best motel we’ve ever been to in the area. We booked primarily because of the wristbands that come with the room. Free rides and water park entry during the stay saves so much money. What a relief it was to not have to worry about paying for tickets every night! The kids had a blast.
The property is owned by Morey’s so it is spotlessly clean and well maintained. It was no problem to get extra towels and things from housekeeping. Everyone was super friendly, even the other guests.
The location was perfect to just walk everywhere. The only complaint I would say was the bar across the lot having loud music, but that’s not on the motel. Our family doesn’t always agree on where we stay, but we are unanimous that the Blue Palms will be our new location to stay every summer. It’s a great place.

WATCH OUT FOR THE MAID!! My review is not a good one when it comes to maid service. Don't get me wrong Blue Palms is a great family place to stay: It's a quality motel, clean, and the price is right. For this last visit, we planned to stay for two days. I was going there for my daughter and her friends for a celebration weekend & they needed a parent there for their stay. I didnt' bring much; one bag & my computer so that I could work while I was there. Saturday morning, I left for a few hours to enjoy the day. During the late part of my outting, I received a call from the hotel asking me if I left. I was shocked and said no, why? She told me that the maid reported that I had nothing in my room and said I left. Now, I've already paid for two nights and have only been gone for 4 hours. Who is this maid to make this decision? And just because I have nothing in my room doesn't mean I've left. I've only been gone 4 hours. And, let's think about that.....the maid must have gone through the drawers, right? Invasion of privacy! So, I do not doubt that she rummages when the guests aren't in their rooms.
Last I recall, a maid cleans and stocks; she's not a paid spy. And she decided that because I left after 4 hours of not being there I must have left. Hello, we're at the shore doing things! The maid almost lost me my room. When one books with a hotel, the contract is between the hotel and the guest and doesn't include the maid. Who is she to report a tale of my living habits and the fact that I left the building and assumed that I left altogether after 4 hours? Shame on that maid! And that's all I'm going to say is WATCH OUT FOR THE MAID or you could lose your room. Because of this, she lost tips from 3 rooms that we booked, which was $160 she could have had in her pocket. She may have provided a service to us, but then provided a disservice to us; therefore, no tip. And this is absolutely justified!
The manager called me, but instead of hearing me out, he was more interested in telling me why the maid did what she did. He said that many people leave their rooms, and they have to know for fire department and EMS reasons. And that if I didn't like their practice I should go elsewhere. REALLY? AGAIN.....I WAS GONE FOR 4 HOURS ON AN OUTTING DURING THE DAYTIME!! MANY GUESTS LEAVE FOR THAT TIME & MORE WHEN THEY'RE AT THE SHORE!! SHAME ON THE MAID & THE MANAGER!!

Not the best experience Weather turned cold 45° May 10. Room had NO heat. Supplied a space heater that barely worked. At night outside lights coming thru window above door and blinds lit the room up. Very small room with two uncomfortable chairs. Overall not a pleasant place to stay.
