Highly Recommend Kingsmill! We had a great girls trip to Kingsmill. The 3-bed condo was perfect for a larger group. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views at the James Landing Grill were amazing - it is the perfect spot for happy hour and dinner. The Mill was great for lunch to-go before heading to the marina. Overall, highly recommend Kingsmill and would definitely go back!

SLOW SERVICE due to being understaffed I usually wait until AFTER my stay to write a review, but my family’s experience so far has been underwhelming. The night of our arrival, we decided to grab dinner at what turned out to be the only restaurant open on the resort premises… and we waited at least 1.5 hours to get our food. We chalked it up to it being the beginning of the week. Fast forward to our full days at the resort, and we’re still waiting more than an hour to receive food from their restaurant. We are continuously given a 15-20 minute estimate, but the resort fails on food service (the food isn’t great to boot). We’re giving up with the resort restaurant service and will be dining out for the duration of our stay. The only exception to note is that their breakfast staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating. If you are staying at the resort, count on outside restaurant options for lunch and dinner meals. The resort rooms themselves are dated but ok… nothing to write home about, which is disappointing given the cost.

Caution: Price Increase Considered adding an additional night to our visit. Although it was not available the agent informed me that the cost of the unit increased from $422 per night to over $1,000 per night. Certainly prices out a family of 6. I could understand if this was an all-inclusive resort, but nothing about the amenities justifies that price increase. In fact, the amenities were less than when we have stayed in the past.

Great time at Kingsmill This is my 3rd time going to Kingsmill, and I was concerned things had gone downhill, but I needn't have worried. We were able to check into our 3 BR condo as soon as we arrived (around 3pm) and the grounds were still lovely. The river pool was never super crowded although the bar did run out of alot of things towards the end of the day. We also rented kayaks and paddleboards which was an awesome experience. We were able to call for a golf cart shuttle to get around if we didn't want to walk. All in all, a great stay and I will be back again.

Wonderful stay for family I took my family of 5 (3 boys ages 6 and under), and we had a blast at Kingsmill. The river pool and lazy river was amazing for kids who don't know how to swim yet. The bike paths were gorgeous. And our one-bedroom condo was so much larger than I expected. I was a little nervous booking a one-bedroom for all 5 of us, but it worked out really well with all of the different sleeping "nooks" for young kids. My only complaint was that the food service was slow (I think they're understaffed from Covid) and the options at the pool for food were limited. Also our family that checked in on Friday around 5pm had to wait for their room to be ready (even though check in is at 4pm). I'm sure this is due to understaffing because of covid. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it and we will go again for sure.
