Highly recommend staying here The hotel is beautiful and quiet, which was nice after a long day exploring Colonial Williamsburg. The grounds are nice to walk around and the on-site winery gives complementary flights to hotel guests. Adam, the inn keeper was a gracious host and was able to direct us to fun places in the area outside of the typical tourist activities.

Wonderful time The room was beautiful, we loved having the tasting pavilion and tavern within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast in the package was excellent. We will definitely be coming back in the fall or early winter.

Superior Service Despite Some Small Snafus My partner and I stayed in the Tuscany Suite for five days, getting the "Taste the Trails" package during our stay. The hotel is located down a tree lined lane, set behind vineyards and next to the Williamsburg Winery complex. The hotel is set up to look like a European Manor with antique-style furniture around a central courtyard, though the theming is sometimes a bit thin. Our suite included a large bedroom with wardrobe, a bathroom with separate walk-in shower and large jacuzzi-style tub sized large enough for two people, and a sitting room with a fireplace. While some of the furniture might have been just a touch worn, the suite was very clean when we arrived. This hotel has room service every evening to clean, and to replace the towels and espresso for the in-suite instant espresso machine. The stay was not cheap, but came with breakfast in the cafe (quiche, coffee, tea, croissants, water, fruit bowl). Every evening (if its chilly enough), you can request that the staff come in to light the fire in the fireplace. They do their best, but the fire would frequently go out shortly after lit - though the staff always offer to come back and re-light it in case of problems. The service in the cafe was exceptional, but it was indoors, though they separated parties as much as possible. The package we had came with a free bottle of wine in the room (which we drank for the first couple nights), a free wine tasting at the wine pavilion on-site, as well as free tastings at a local Alehouse, a brewery, and a meadery. I would recommend it, as it offered a good way to end every evening of our trip. Of course, there were a couple issues to note. First, the room was very cold - as the heat did not work consistently. That said, the staff promptly brought a space heater upon request, which remedied the problem. Second, the other reviews were correct - you will hear your neighbors (above, below, and to either side), and those in the hallway. Sound carries and the walls are thin. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend getting a suite in the corner of the building or on the upper floor to avoid hearing everything around you. This was a noticeable issue even when the hotel was relatively empty. I still rate the stay five stars because the staff were present and helpful at every turn - we booked a couple's massage (with temperature checks, masks, and hand sanitizer), got friendly service at the cafe, got extra plasticware for takeout, got assistance with having food delivered, and got a space heater. Everything was pleasant from start to finish.

Felt like we were in another world, so Peaceful! Loved It! Upon the drive back to the hotel, we knew this was something special. The place makes you feel like your on the European Countryside with nothing for miles. It was so quiet and lovely. Staff was absolutely amazing and cordial. The pool was amazing, rooms were absolutely lovely. We survived the tropical storm in the room! I would recommend this to anyone looking for more than your typical cookie cutter chain hotel. I can't explain how nice this place was, you just have to stay here and experience it for yourself. Will definitely be returning!
