Visiting family for the holidays From the moment we walked in the door, our whole experience was great! We were greeted by Elias at the front desk with his warm personality and friendly demeanor. We got to our exceptionally clean room done by Heather Mae.. immaculate room:-) then Jessica, Jackie and 1 other lady I didn't get her name (she was a small blonde) kept the breakfast food warm, fresh and all counters and table squeaky clean! Also had a brief nice encounter with Amanda! This place was great and not 1 complaint for our whole stay! We will be staying again!!! Thanks townplace suites!!!!

Great experience visiting family in Wilmington. Came to town to visit family….! Ellis at the front desk provided excellent customer service. The location is being updated but the amenities were simple and great. The proximity to the beach and river were a plus. My family and I will definitely come back again. Thank you Marriott….!

Great value for money We stayed 1 night in a studio suite. The suite was well equipped for cooking, but there was only table and chair for 1 person. Otherwise the suite was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and breakfast very good - better than expected as it was described as ‘continental’. We liked the artwork around the hotel. Very good value for money.

Needs major renovation I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the university. Location and staff were the positives during my stay. The front-desk staff were friendly as were the cleaning staff. But the room was dingy and in desperate need of renovation. There was thick, visible rust on light fixtures, on the side of the refrigerator, and other metal surfaces in the room. There was also what appeared to be mold within the frame around the bathroom mirror. Wallpaper is beginning to peel off the bathroom walls. It was a little hard to tell whether the room was even properly cleaned before my arrival. And, when I checked in, there was one bath towel in the bathroom. No hand towel. No washcloths.

Excellent customer service and comfortable stay. Amanda set the tone from the moment she greeted us and checked us in to the very supportive customer service questions she and other staff members answered and assisted with. Nice, well kept facility, but it’s the people who really make this particular TownePlace Suites stand out. And they really look out for loyal BonVoy members too!
