Travelers Beware! I am currently checked into this hotel as a Marriott Bonvoy Member, not checking out until tomorrow. I wanted to write a beautiful review for this hotel, as it started out as a great stay at the hotel, clean rooms, nice environment, pretty good, that is until day 2 when another guest asked if I knew about the $10 per day parking charge. I was in shock because, like them, no one mentioned a fee for parking at all. In fact, I asked the front desk when we checked in where do we park our cars and was told our parking is right across the street in a secure lot, the desk agent who checked us in stated you just need your key to access the lot. I was very happy to know our car would be parked in a secure location. Never was there a mention of a fee, not $10 per day for anything. There was ample parking on the street for free. It was the weekend! Needless to say, that was not the most upsetting part of my stay. The front desk agent, according to her, her name is Shanell, Charnell, or Sharnell, no name tag at all to identify her, blew my mind! I called down to the front desk around 8:00 AM to ask for fresh towels to be brought to our room, even explaining that I did not need full service, however, as a courtesy if someone could please bring them to my room. I was told that I would have to come down to the front desk to get them because housekeepers are not allowed to come to our rooms due to COVID. Are you kidding me! I was only asking for towels. There are signs posted all over the hotel that state "due to COVID, housekeeping service is provided by REQUEST ONLY! I had to get dressed in dirty clothes, go downstairs, while on my way, I took a photo of one of their signs posted inside the elevator and on front of the elevator door, took it to the front desk and asked if she was aware of what the sign read and what her hotel's policy was about housekeeping services,,,2 other employees were standing in the office on their cells, texting or whatever...look like housekeeping staff, one male, one female. She stated, "I know what the sign says but it is Marriott's policy and because we are not a full service hotel, we never bring towels to guest rooms. Our hotel never did that even before COVID." yet, when I was checking in, I overheard the desk agent asked the same male to take a plunger to a guest room, just a big lie! I said, so you are violating your own written policy, in fact, it states that I could have had daily housekeeping services if I had requested it at check in, just let the front desk know and it would be provided. She reiterated, "No, we never do that and it is our policy. OMG! On top of it all, she continued on about how it was Marriott's policy due to COVID....and she stays at several Marriott hotels and they are all implementing the same policy...so wrong! I recently stayed at wonderful Marriott hotel in Salt Lake City and this was not an issue at all. She Lied! I just want to check out tomorrow and never return to this hotel again. This hotel need to get their act together and teach the staff to follow their own written policies or take those signs down! Thank you Fairfield Inn for ruining what should have been a beautiful stay! I am posting a photo of their sign for your review.

I Want my $10 back We have stayed at this Fairfield for more than 10 years, as recent as Jan 14. NOW they are charging $10 for parking. That’s just wrong! I do not like surprises! Absolutely no consideration for an elite member. At least give me a one time break so I can better consider future stays. A nice hotel and convenient, however there are other Marriott choices a short distance away with free parking.

Unprofessional Front Desk (6:30AM) Good hotel: nice rooms, clean, good location. Friendly check-in staff (evening). BUT extremely rude/unprofessional/arrogant/not friendly front desk (only early morning staff). Wanted to check out at 6:30AM but could not find anybody at Front Desk. At about 6:40ish a man shows up with no mask from the side entrance. No idea who he was but said: checking out? I said yes. He checked me out. Had my mask on during entire time. A few min later while by the coffee area and collecting my bags (had my mask in my hand, he saw me about 20 feet away from him and asked me to put my mask on. I put my mask on immediately. He still had no mask on! I said "you need to put your mask on ..." His response: "I was tested negative last week ... don't need a mask." I told him it doesn't matter you still need to have a mask on. He went at me and then gestured with his hands "you need to leave ... now .. you need to leave this place ... leave this place ... and on and on" So I said "I am leaving" because I was leaving to get in the car anyway. He disappeared in the backroom still with no mask and as I was leaving I said you need to have a mask on and took a photo too! No arguments about putting my mask on and I appreciate being reminded. But for him with no mask to roam around the reception area is not acceptable and is against all COVID protocols. Not a good reflection on Marriott either. I would not stay at this hotel again; too risky.

Perfect location & very good accommodations I would highly recommend this Fairfield Inn. The receptionist was very friendly, professional, and took proper covid measures checking us in to the hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Several terrific restaurants were within walking distance. We have a race event at Salem Lake, so it was an ideal location.

Just passing through The hotel really is in a great location literally right off the interstate. Free parking in a garage that is right next door. There are plenty of little restaurants and things to do. The curb appeal was there and the lobby was clean and very well presented. Tessa at check in was super polite and friendly, told us about breakfast and gave us directions. The room was clean and everything we needed was there. The only negative thing is the lack of adherence to Marriotts commitment to clean. We saw a house keeper cleaning a room without a mask or gloves, with a toothpick in his mouth. Checking out, a man who appeared to be the manager was in the lobby without a mask. The front desk associate was also not wearing a mask. Tessa (checking in) was the only person we saw in our entire stay wearing a mask. This was disappointing as we chose to stay at a Marriott because of their commitment to cleanliness and safety. All and all it was good stay and the staff was friendly but the lack of adherence to Marriotts policy for PPE was concerning.
