Disappointed We are so disappointed. Our room was filthy. Crumbs from a prior guest left in the room. Bathroom disgusting. Mildew. Dirty. The breakfast is free but so bad that we are Choosing to eat breakfast elsewhere as it was not good. Yesterday it was pouring and a van was picking us and other guests up. The hotel did not want to allow the van to park under the covered awning (preferable as there was a deluge of rain). This hotel is closer to a holiday inn. Extremely disappointed. This hotek rests on its laurels of years of good will but needs to step it up.

NIce stay. Loved the inn. The beds, pillows, sheets and towels were soft. I actually really loved the bed. The AC ran well, not loud at all and kept the room clean. We used the spa, pool, bikes, and fitness center. Lots to do with with little ones. Big plus was the heated salt water pool, the small lawn activities and Billings Farms. The children can make s'mores each night of your stay. They have a fire pit out in the back. Loved the Fitness center. There are classes, a pool and steam room, etc. The only down side were the restaurants. The food was heavy and just basic, the service too. I did eat there both nights( more of of necessity the second night,) but really I felt like I was eating at 99 Restaurant. It would be great to add more light options, and simple options. I had two children with me and did not want to drive out of Woodstock to order more simple foods like a pizza, or just sandwiches. The town choice of restaurants is limited and a two of them closed by 6pm. I also have a recommendation.. Adding a bike path from the Inn to the Fitness center. I walked each morning, but the road is very busy and there are not always side walks. My 15 year niece also used the Fitness center, but she took the shuttle. There is a shuttle services offered. I did love the Fitness center and my stay. The inn is lovely and there are lots of things to do or not do. Thank you Woodstook Inn.

So many positive reviews here-really??? On recommendation from so many positive reviews, we reserved a few days here. While our room was quaint, the mattresses were totally blown out and in need replacing. The AC was also very loud and woke us up as it went on and off. The second day we were there, although we requested that our room would be cleaned three times, it did not happen and we had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and left the dirty towels and full garbage cans in the hall to be picked up. Both restaurants were awful; bland, expensive food, poorly prepared and the server put down my meal which was served in a skillet without warning me it was blazing hot. The server also had no idea what gluten was and I told them to go to the kitchen and ask which dishes were gluten free (not much choice-nor did either restaurant had a lot of choices for even non-gluten free food). Additionally, the pool water was not very clean. All in all; we were very disappointed in our stay.

Loved the Room Size Loved the size of the rooms! Very spacious and nicely decorated for 3 adults. The common area of the hotel was very pretty and inviting. We enjoyed walking around downtown Woodstock and had a delcious meal at Dr. Coburns Tonic. Wish we had been able to stay a few more days.
Our stay at the Inn wasn't perfect due to the rude staff at check-in and check-out. I asked questions about where to eat and things to do and was told there was a paper I could read and walked away. Staying a place the quality of the Inn, I would have expected much better service.

Two days of pure bliss A much needed short getaway led us to this beautiful part of Vermont known as Woodstock and the old school charm of the Woodstock inn and resort. Once owned by a past employer of mine,Rock Resorts it's in somebody else's capable hands now and has remained tried and true years later. From the friendly interactions with the front desk to the excellent cuisine found at the red rooster dining room and especially the spa located on property this was near perfection. Room was comfortable and clean, free on site parking and free shuttle's any time around town.what's not to like. We'll be back Woodstock!
