Clean hotel with friendly staff This is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff that went out of there to ensure we had a great stay. This location was able to accommodate our group of two full buses for check in and during the breakfast buffet. The room was spacious with thoughtful design which included lots of shelf space in the washroom along with additional storage on pull out shelves on either side of the sink. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had lots of options ranging from waffles to a variety of fruit. This location had a variety of breads/bagles, juices, along with dark, regular roast, and decaf coffee. The fitness centre had free weights, yoga mats, and updated treadmills and elliptical. The indoor pool was a welcome oasis for kids. The wifi worked well for our family with many devices accessing at the same time. The only issues we had was a broken water dispenser on the fitness center. Be aware that the hotel only offers towels/cleaning every second day of your stay. We had to pick up additional towels from the main desk and to take excess garbage to the large waste at the front of the building. Overall great hotel with lots of amenities

Bed okay, but avoid the breakfast. Not much sound buffer between next door room. Neighbors checked in between midnight and 1AM and awakened us with their conversation. Was told breakfast was available until 10AM. Went down at 9:15AM to get breakfast. The potatoes were VERY cold (like just out of the refrigerator, almost frozen). Mentioned to breakfast attendant who said "hot breakfast warmer" had to be turned off so that it would be cool by 10AM. (Sausage and omelette were warm.) The breakfast should be available and hot until 10AM in my opinion. Also, I witnessed the breakfast attendant use his hands to compact the trash in trash can (was overflowing w/ breakfast trash). Afterwards (without washing hands or changing gloves) resumed stocking breakfast consumables (napkins, plates, etc.). That is totally disgusting and unacceptable. We can not recommend staying at this hotel.

Some good, some definitely not so good Was ready to stop somewhere and stay for the night so I looked up hotels in Youngstown. This one seemed fairly priced for the tier level and I'm a Hilton Honors member so chose knowing these properties are typically pretty nice. First impression was good. The front desk manager let me select what floor I wanted and I said top would be great so I'm not hearing people walking around above me. He put me in a room far from the elevator as well to reduce noise. Good thing because that elevator made a loud dinging sound. Went into the room and it seemed nice. Got settled in and that's when things started going south. Both rooms that I was between were LOUD. Walls were paper thin. One side was a teenager banging on the door multiple times and yelling at his parents, other side was someone who thought it appropriate to watch loud TV till midnight. The noise echoed through the walls so bad that I couldn't even quite tell where it was coming from, but it was relentless. The beds were also hard, and I woke up with my lower back in pain because of it. This doesn't seem to be unique to Hampton though, but it does seem like hotels in general are getting hard beds. OH I also went to close the shade before going to sleep, only to notice a strong smell of urine when I went to that corner. Either someone peed that bed, or someone's pet peed on the floor and it wasn't taken care of. After all the noise and it being so late, I honestly was just over it and went back to bed to try and salvage what little sleep I could get. Breakfast was ok, could have had fresher options, but there was enough to get by on.

Bad, bad _ I'm in shock. I went in with the housekeeping, took video and checked out on the correct day at 11:00am and they were left with $175 deposit for nothing. It seems that they live more on the deposit than on the rent. I do not recommend that you stay at this hotel. You will remember this review like I did when I read this one above __

Terrible Customer Service Guests were charged an additional $50 for ridiculous reasons such as “party in lobby”, “lobby left mess” (their grammatical errors not mine), etc. We have tried to reason with the Manager at this hotel with zero success. He is terrible at managing a what we now consider a one star level hotel. We had permission to eat at the lobby (they have tables set up for a reason), we did not facilitate the trick or treating (yet, he claims we did), we asked to go into the meeting room after the other team left and were denied. We cleaned up after ourselves and a parent helped put the tables/chairs back. I wouldn’t call 3 people in the lobby until 2:30am a “party”. Their lobby music was louder than we were. A parent even got charged this amount and he wasn’t even in the hotel. He had already left without checking out. AVOID STAYING AT THE HOTEL AT ALL COSTS! Beds are terrible. Elevator was out of service and lobby restroom was clogged. Disgusting!
