Groupon Subscriptions  Terms and Conditions

Overview.   Groupon Subscriptions is a paid subscription service made available by Groupon, Inc. (“Groupon”) that permits customers who pay a recurring subscription fee (see details below related to fees) to receive benefits for the duration of your subscription term, as set forth in the applicable Subscription Offer on the Site and these terms and conditions (the “Groupon Subscription”).  From time to time, Groupon may offer additional, limited time deals to Groupon Subscription members.


  1. Offers or benefits provided under the Groupon Subscription cannot be stacked or used with any other offers or discounts that Groupon may provide from time to time to its customers. Offers or benefits provided under the applicable Groupon Subscription can be revised or changed by Groupon at any time.  Use of the Groupon Subscription is limited to personal use only, and the subscription may not be transferred or shared.  

 

  1. To enroll in the Groupon Subscription, you must have a Groupon account, have a credit or debit card saved in your Groupon account, and agree to be automatically billed per the terms of the subscription you select until you cancel (see cancellation rights in Section 8 below) or Groupon terminates the Groupon Subscription program.  By enrolling in a Groupon Subscription, you agree to: (i) these Groupon Subscription Terms and Conditions and any other terms, conditions and restrictions set forth in the applicable subscription deal on the Site, as they may be amended from time to time; (ii) the Groupon Terms of Use found at groupon.com/terms; and (iii) the Groupon Privacy Statement found at groupon.com/privacy (collectively (i), (ii), and (iii) the “Terms”). Groupon may terminate or restrict your use of the Groupon Subscription, without compensation or notice, if you are, or if we suspect that you are: (i) in violation of any of these Terms; or (ii) engaged in illegal or improper use of the Groupon Subscription.

 

  1. When you enroll in the Groupon Subscription, the Subscription Offer you sign up for will determine what your subscription cost and benefits are, as set forth in the applicable Subscription Deal on the Site and these terms and conditions.  The Groupon Subscription renews automatically at the end of the 30-day billing period at the rate then in effect for the period of time applicable to the subscription you selected unless canceled in accordance with these Terms.  The billing period begins on the date you accept these Terms and renews every 30 days thereafter.

 

  1. When you enroll in the Groupon Subscription, you authorize Groupon to automatically charge the then-current subscription fee applicable to the plan you chose to the payment method you enroll with Groupon+ for the entire duration of your enrollment in the Groupon Subscription program.  You agree to pay, using a valid payment method, all fees and charges, including applicable taxes, you have incurred through your account, including the subscription charges to access the Groupon Subscription.   By accepting these terms, you are also authorizing Groupon to charge or debit any payment method (including a credit card, debit card or other electronic payment method) linked to your Groupon account, at any time, the recurring subscription fees and any other charges associated with your Groupon Subscription on the first day of your applicable billing period (or the following Monday should the first day of your billing period fall on a weekend, as applicable).  For the avoidance of doubt, you are authorizing Groupon to charge or debit your Groupon Subscription fees and/or charges to any credit card, debit card or other payment method linked to your Groupon account on the date you sign up for your Groupon Subscription or any credit card, debit card or other payment method added to your Groupon account thereafter.

 

  1. Groupon reserves the right to adjust or change the price for the Groupon Subscription, or to institute new fees at any time, upon reasonable notice posted in advance on the Site or sent to you based on contact information you provide in your Groupon account.  For sake of clarity, rate changes will apply only for subsequent billing periods.  If you do not wish to accept the price increase, you must cancel your subscription as described in Section 8.  If you do not cancel your subscription as described in Section 8 before the price change takes effect, your subscription will be renewed at the price in effect at the time of the renewal, without any additional action by you, and you authorize Groupon to charge any payment method linked to your Groupon account for these amounts

 

  1. Following your enrollment in the Groupon Subscription, Groupon will send you a confirmation containing the applicable subscription fee then in effect to the email address provided in your account.  

 

  1. Since the Groupon Subscription program is an auto-renewing subscription, you must update your payment method information promptly to keep your account current, complete and accurate (e.g., for changes in your credit card number, billing address or expiration date). Changes to such information can be made within your Groupon account.  If your payment method is not current, complete and accurate and you do not notify us promptly when such information changes, you will remain responsible for any uncollected amounts and understand your subscription may be suspended or terminated.  In order to avoid service interruption and as a convenience to you, if you do not notify us of updates to your payment method information (e.g., updated account status, payment card number and expiration date), we may try to update your payment method information, either directly or indirectly through third party payment method updating services supported by your payment method provider, and you authorize us to continue billing your account with the updated information that we obtain.  Such updater services may not be available for all credit or debit cards or other payment methods, and you should check with your card issuer or payment method provider to determine eligibility.

 

  1. You may cancel your subscription after any initial commitment period has passed by emailing Groupon at mycarwashsubscription@groupon.com from the email associated with your Groupon account, with subject line Subscription Cancellation and referencing the order number associated with your Groupon Subscription.  You must cancel your subscription at least five (5) business days before it renews to avoid being charged for the next billing period.

 

  1. ALL SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR PARTIALLY USED PERIODS. Following any cancellation, however, you will continue to have access to the Groupon Subscription through the end of your current billing period. For example, if your last billing date was November 15 and you cancel your subscription on November 28, your subscription access will terminate on December 14 (assuming your initial commitment period has passed). 

 

  1. Groupon reserves the right to modify or terminate the Groupon Subscription program, including but not limited to any offer, at any time and for any reason. If the Groupon Subscription program is terminated, Groupon shall not be obligated to redeem any further offers granted under the Groupon Subscription program.
