At the annual Taste of Charlotte, Mexican restaurants might serve up samples of anything from steak tacos to spicy pico de gallo. But of course, that’s not the only place these restaurants share their work. They also hand out bite-size eats at several regular Charlotte events for the city’s foodie crowd, from Margarita Wars to Fountain Park’s Food Truck Fridays. Still, mere samples aren’t enough to satisfy true cravings for Mexican cuisine. That’s why locals often head to
Paco’s Tacos and Tequila for the namesake meal, or
Cantina 1511 for Thai-chili-glazed shrimp tacos and pork belly tortas. Clearly, plenty of people in Charlotte already know
how to find perfect tacos.
