The Smog Check bay was inside another company's station but one of their employees cared enough and/or was trained enough to came right out to me, asked what I needed, and led me to the right spot.
The owner, Phong, came up to me right away, and said he would be with me as soon as the car he was servicing was done (there was only the one car in front of me.) Within a few minutes, he came back out and had me pull into the bay for him to begin the Star smog check for my 2000 convertible. I told him I had a Groupon and he let me know (which I already had looked up the diclaimers) that there would be an additional $10 for a Star vehicle, and $8.25 for the certificate. He had me sign the form for the additional amount that the Groupon did not cover. Once the car passed inspection, I paid with a CC. Phone was friendly and professional and I'd definitely go there again.
