The first 150,000 registered participants who purchase an eligible deal will receive $10 in Groupon Bucks deposited into their accounts by 12/31/11. Groupon Bucks awarded during this promotion must be used by 3/31/12. Only deals priced at $10 or more and offered by a local business with a physical presence are eligible. As part of this promotion, a local business is considered to be any business, in or around your city, that has a physical presence – a place where you can walk in and shop. Goods and Getaways deals, as well as exclusive engagements and gift-card purchases, are not considered "local" as part of this promotion.

Each Groupon Buck is equal to one credit redeemable exclusively on Groupon deals. Once you have any number of Groupon Bucks in your account, your Groupon Bucks will be applied automatically to your next Groupon deal purchase. It's as simple as that.
For example, if you have $10 in Groupon Bucks and the Groupon deal you want is $20, we’ll automatically apply your $10 in Groupon Bucks and charge your credit card for the remaining $10. On the other hand, if you buy a Groupon deal that's only $3, we’ll automatically apply your $10 in Groupon Bucks and your remaining $7 Bucks will be available credit against future purchases.
