Why is there an expiration of 180 days when the plan is good for 1 year?
You have 180 days to redeem your Groupon and activate your membership. Once you activate your membership, it will be active for a full year from the activation date.
What type of pets are covered? Can I get this for my horses/rabbit/ferrets/snake/etc.?
Pet Assure accepts all types of pets; dogs, cats, birds, monkeys, llamas (really!) and every other member of the animal kingdom (aside from humans).
Does this include a discount on meds or preventatives?
Veterinarians are not required to discount medications or other products that you take home with you, but as a Pet Assure member, you get a 15% discount off at PetCareRx including all prescriptions, flea and tick preventatives, and heartworm preventatives.
My cat has diabetes; will this be covered? Does this cover pre-existing conditions? What are the exclusions?
There are no exclusions with Pet Assure. All in-house medical services are covered, even pre-existing conditions. You can enroll any pet, any breed, any age, and in any health condition. You can even enroll pets with pre-existing and hereditary conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, hip dysplasia, kennel cough, patellar luxation, and other maladies. The veterinary practice gives you the discount right at the time of service.
How does this work? Do I need to fill out any forms?
No forms to ever fill out. Simply show your card at the veterinary office and you will receive an instant discount.
Does this include a discount on meds or preventatives? My dog needs medication will this cover that? Will this cover heartworm preventatives? Are flea treatments included?

Does this cover dental cleanings? Are x-rays covered? Is bloodwork and other lab work covered?
The discount is on all medical care provided in the office by the veterinary office staff. However, if they send labwork or x-rays to a facility outside the office, or if they bring in a specialist to do a procedure or service, they are not required to provide the discount.
What do I do after I purchase a Groupon?
Go to http://petassure.com/groupon and enter the redemption code from your voucher, then press Submit. On the next page, enter your shipping address and Pet Assure will email you a temporary card and mail you your official member ID card.
Can this Groupon Voucher be used to renew an existing plan? Can I extend my current plan?

I purchased a Groupon last year. Can I purchase this one also?
Sorry, the Groupon deals are for first-time members only, so previous purchasers are unfortunately not eligible (it is part of Groupon’s terms on the right side of the offer page). However, you will receive an email offer with a special renewal rate (very close to this rate) about 3 weeks before your plan expires.
